Crackle Glaze That Evolves With Every Brew

  • Living Crackle Glaze — Over time, tea pigments seep into the crazing lines, forming unique golden veins that belong only to your cup
  • Built-In All-Ceramic Infuser — Lift to steep, remove to stop. Full control over brewing strength, zero plastic contact
  • Fired at 1350°C · 92 Traditional Steps · 13 Days to Craft — Dense, vitrified porcelain with a clear resonant ring and low water absorption
  • Lid That Works Two Ways — Keeps your tea warm and dust-free while brewing; flips over to rest the infuser when removed
  • Ergonomic Handle · Heat-Resistant — Shaped to fit the hand naturally; comfortable to hold even when the tea is hot

About Ru Kiln

Ru Kiln stood first among the Five Great Kilns of the Song Dynasty, revered for over a thousand years as the pinnacle of Chinese ceramic art. This cup draws on that tradition — hand-thrown, oxidation fired, and finished in the signature celadon glaze that made Ru Kiln famous.

A Glaze That Grows With You

The fine crazing across the surface is not a flaw — it is the defining character of Ru Kiln ware. Formed naturally as the glaze contracts during cooling, these intersecting lines resemble cracking ice or woven nets. With each brew, tea slowly traces its way into those lines, building faint to deep golden veins over weeks and months. No two cups age the same way. Yours will be entirely your own.

Designed for Everyday Tea

The all-ceramic infuser basket sits inside the cup, holding loose leaf tea above the water line until you're ready. Lift it out to stop steeping — simple, precise, no guesswork. The lid keeps heat in and dust out while you brew, then flips over to hold the infuser once removed. One object, no wasted parts.

Built to Last

Fired at 1350°C through 92 traditional craft steps over 13 days, the porcelain is highly vitrified — dense, non-porous, and free of impurities. It rings clearly when tapped. It does not absorb odors. It is made to be used every day.
